 Save the Date! Engage Family Discipleship Retreat November 11-12, 2022 The Diocese of San Joaquin will be hosting a Family Discipleship Retreat this Fall! More details and an opportunity to register is forthcoming. For now, here are the basics: Overview: This Family Discipleship Retreat has two distinct parts with one mission – the discipleship of our youth. One part of the retreat is focused on training the adults who are present. We are bringing in a ministry of the ACNA called Engage to provide training for parents, priests, deacons, catechists, volunteers, etc… on how to more effectively disciple youth in a one on one or small group setting. The other part of the retreat is focused on discipling our youth. While adults are in session, youth will have a camp-like experience with worship, teaching, games, and activities. Families will come together for meals, worship, and specific activities. Date: Friday November 11 – Saturday November 12, Veteran’s Day Weekend Time: Check in is Friday, November 11th at noon and our last session will end by 3:00pm on Saturday. Location: St. Paul’s School, 6101 West Goshen Ave. Visalia, CA. Accommodations:
We have plenty of options: 1) camp on the school grounds. 2) bring your camper or RV and camp in the school parking lot, 3) book a hotel – Visalia has hotels at all levels of accommodation, or 4) stay with your friends in Visalia. Meals: Meals will be included in your registration fee. Price: TBD – However, we know it will be low. Having the retreat at St. Paul’s School allows us to keep the prices affordable.
