On July 23, 18 teenage students and adult leaders traveled from Bishop to Tijuana for a week-long service project. St. Tim’s gang teamed up with Amor Ministries in Mexico and All Saints Church in Bakersfield. Their mission was to build two small houses for families in need in Tijuana and enjoy a vacation with sports, stories, crafts and Bible school. The team completed its fundraising efforts over the past several months and raised more than $20,000 which covered all the expenses of the trip, including the building costs for the homes. Father Cam rallied the St. Tim’s Mexico Mission youth. They All Made it to Mexico!
Days of hard work ended in fun volleyball games and evening Bible studies. Blaise prepared to wield his hammer while Grace lined up the studs using a triangle. And finally! Ta Da! A Perfect Little Home!!
