The Mexico Mission

​On July 23, 18 teenage students and adult leaders traveled from Bishop to Tijuana for a week-long service project.  St. Tim’s gang teamed up with Amor Ministries in Mexico and All Saints Church in Bakersfield.  Their mission was to build two small houses for families in need in Tijuana and enjoy a vacation with sports, stories, crafts and Bible school.  The team  completed its fundraising efforts over the past several months and raised more than $20,000 which covered all the expenses of the trip, including the building costs for the homes.

Our own beautiful and multi-talented Jenelle added masonry to her long list of accomplishments.

The surprising lack of Room Service prevented these lovely accommodations from boasting a Five-Star rating.  However, our valiant youth, and the grownups who accompanied them, reported the tents “adequate.”
